Content Marketing Using Videos

3 Clever Ideas for Content Marketing Using Videos That Won’t Break the Bank

Sharing information online has never been easier – or cheaper!

Just think about the different types of platforms that we use to reach our clients and customers.

They allow us to:

  • target our message to the right audience,
  • regulate our contact with that audience, and best of all…
  • build our profile and offer solutions and services – without spending a fortune!

The power that social media has to build a reputation and brand while at the same time have others do your marketing for you, is astonishing.

Just a few years ago, it was difficult to have an online profile let alone build one.

If you’re a small to medium business or just starting out – marketing budgets are bound to be tight.

But you can’t get past the fact that marketing is essential expenditure. The adage, ‘build it and they will come’ just won’t work in the online world.

So you need to get “clued up” on all the ways you can create compelling content that gives you champagne results on a beer budget.

Add Spice To Your Corporate Videos

You want your corporate videos to be memorable right?

So here’s my top 3 tips on how to add just enough spice for your video to be engaging!

1 Be fresh and natural

When you’re writing your script, keep the focus on who you’re talking to and what you want them to do.

Then you will be able to use the right language that will connect with their hearts and minds!

My all time favourite way to do this is to practice your script as if the words have just come straight out of your head…

They’re your words and your thoughts, so as you’re writing the script, speak each sentence out loud to check that this is how you really speak.

You actually need to read ‘through’ the words, carrying the meaning of the message to the person you’re addressing.  Anything else just isn’t going to cut it!

2 Pause…

Now you’ve decided to create corporate videos, it’s important to understand the power of the pause!

I’m sure you’ve noticed how hard it is to watch videos when the presenter speaks too fast, doesn’t pause and looks like they would prefer to be anywhere else but in front of the camera.

Pausing between one thought or idea is so important to creating corporate videos that involves and includes those you’re talking to.

And if you don’t honour the “power of the pause” – you won’t sound connected!

3 Breathing

Yes, we have to do it…in life that is!

When we’re in conversation with someone, we breathe…well…naturally.   It’s so automatic, that we don’t know we’re doing it and we certainly never analyse it!

But now that you’re going to create an online video, you need to be aware of your breath.

As you read your script, notice at which point you run out of breath.

If it’s in a sentence or towards the end of a sentence, then you need to choose a point in the script somewhere before that to take a breath.

There’ll always be a place in the sentence where it feels right to pause.

Often the best place for a breath is…when you’re moving from one thought or idea, to the next.

Make a mark on the script that reminds you to take a breath.

Work through the script doing this and working out exactly where you need to breathe.

Use these 3 tips when you’re creating your corporate videos and you will have added just the right amount of spice to make it memorable and engaging!

Happy online video creation!

Scared Of Corporate Videos?

Do you feel scared about making corporate videos?

Well, let’s tame the beast!

Like it or not, corporate videos are set set to become a central part of successful online business.

Those who’ve been using video as part of their content marketing already know how effective it is in building their personal brand and profile.

Just think for a second about who you’re following online and why?

It’s probably for all these reasons:

  • You like them (like, as in the way we used to mean the word)
  • They share great value information
  • They really know their stuff, and
  • You trust them

How do you know all that?
